After-sales service

After-sales service

The soul of artisanal fine watchmaking resides in a constant quest for perfection in even the smallest of details. This state of mind is naturally present at every stage in the production of our timepieces. It is this commitment to excellence that has earned us the trust of collectors since 1822.

After-sales service constitutes the keystone of this trust and is a true priority at BOVET. It is also something of a misnomer, as we intervene well before the sale takes place by establishing unremitting quality standards that guarantee the satisfaction of our collectors.

We are continually improving the reliability of our watches and optimizing their maintenance. A watch caliber nonetheless remains a mechanical micro motor, which has the unique and remarkable feature of being in constant operation. By way of a quick comparison, a car engine, which operates for an average of just 10-15 minutes per day, requires an annual service compared to a maintenance service every five years for each of our Manufacture movements. This alone already demonstrates the incredible reliability of our timepieces.

However, for a timepiece to be passed down from one generation to the next and last through the ages—like the numerous 19th-century BOVET pocket watches that now grace museums and private collections—regular maintenance is essential.

To ensure the longevity, reliability and accuracy of your timepieces, we have structured our after-sales service to offer you the best services with the best turnaround times at the best cost. Whether the service is performed in our workshops or by one of our approved watchmakers trained by us, each operation is carried out in accordance with a strict protocol. Each component is individually disassembled, inspected and cleaned or replaced if it shows any signs of wear. The cases, buckles and bracelets are polished so that they look as similar as possible to when they first left our workshops. Once they have been meticulously reassembled, lubricated and adjusted, each timepiece undergoes the same aesthetic, functional and timekeeping checks as the new timepieces leaving our Manufacture.

Over the past few years, the statistics concerning the reliability of our timepieces have reached such high levels that we are now proud to pass these benefits on to our customers by providing a five-year warranty for all timepieces equipped with a movement produced by our DIMIER 1738 Manufacture.
