Farshid Music

Iranian born, English raised Persian/American singer/ song writer Farshid Amin left England after graduating college to pursue a musical career in the United States.

Formerly known as Fash Amen in the early 90`s he was the lead singer/guitarist for Washington D.C. based band `Fear Of Man`. Twice nominated by WAMA (Washington Music Association) for best vocalist, Farshid started touring with artists Blondie and Julian Lennon.

It was in the late 90`s when Farshid released his first Persian song “Nastaran” which became an instant mega-hit with millions of Iranians all over the world.

His highly praised song “Change” or “Pray with me” made Farshid the first Iranian/ American artist ever to perform at The Democratic Party Presidential Victory gala on election night 2008.

He has been recognized by the U.S State department for successfully promoting diversity through his music.

On November 4, 2009, he gave an emotional performance of the National anthem at the NBA games Iranian Heritage Night.

Through his English lyrics, Farshid expresses his views and perspective on today`s world issues. He believes that through music we can bring people closer together and influence public opinion.

Following in the footsteps of his successful album "Gereftar" released in 2007, Farshid Amin is simultaneously working on his 5th and 6th major albums, both of which are scheduled to be released in 2009-2010. As a demonstration of Farshid's creativity, talent and diversity, one album will be in Farsi, and the other in English.

Still working with long-time associate Elton Farokh Ahi, Farshid is branching out into other markets, and has been asked to license songs from his debut English album to be part of an upcoming Hollywood-produced movie.

Just coming back from his 2009 Norooz tour which took him to London and Brighton, England, and on to Istanbul and Antalya in Turkey, he leaves soon for Malaysia and Germany.

Inspired by recent world events, Farshid Amin's newest release "Freedom" has been extremely well received by loving hearts throughout the world.
